The Lakes Area Police arrested a man for reckless discharge of a firearm and child endangerment September 30, when there was a report of suspicious activity near the Chisago City Public Works land.  The incident happened about 11 p.m.  There were reportedly firearms found by officers inside the car, where two children slept.

Also Sept. 30 a report of a dog bite near the Matthew Drive, Chisago City neighborhood.  The incident is under investigation.

October 1 state patrol was sent to the scene of a crash at Hwy 95 and Hwy 8 outside of Taylors Falls, about 11:30 a.m. Deputies assisted with traffic control. The patrol reports two vehicles were heading out of Taylors Falls, and were stopped to turn south onto Hwy 95,  and were rear-ended by a third vehicle. The occupants of vehicle three, all from Wisconsin,  were transported.

Authorities were dispatched to the scene of a deceased person, a suicide,  October 1 in Lindstrom.

October 1 North Branch Police took a report of theft of copper from an address on 292nd.

North Branch also had several false alarms at commercial businesses over the week, one break-in documented as attempted at the golf course facility.  Cars were also gone through on Mallard Loop Road and one vehicle was broken into on Ash Street.

Sheriff deputies went to the scene of a residential burglary in a vacant home in Fish Lake Twsp. October 3.  Golf clubs and fishing gear are missing.
The sheriff’s department took a report of theft of a Garmin Nuvi GPS unit worth $250 from the East Rush Lake public access.

About 3 a.m. October 5 there was a complaint of an unoccupied vehicle crashed into a power pole at Redwing Avenue and Franconia Trail and snapped it off.  Xcel Energy was dispatched. Bottles of beer were found in the trunk and a bottle was in the vehicle center console. The license plate matches that of a call made to authorities a few hours later, to report this as stolen from a nearby address.
