Herbert A. Sorenson, age 85 of Cambridge died on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Herbert was born July 18, 1929 in Chisago County, Minnesota to parents Hans and Myrtle Sorenson.  He married Joan Foster on November 22, 1952, went into the service and had five children.  Herbert was employed with the City of Roseville for 30 years.
 He is preceded in death by his wife Joan; sons Greg and Roger.  Herbert is survived by his children Linda (Bruce) Halverson, Stewart (Sheryl) Sorenson, and Todd (Kim) Sorenson; grandchildren Justin, Jason, Shawn, Erin, Kelsey, Lyndsay, and Gage; great grandchildren Ethan, Leon, Jacob, and Grant; sister Dorothy Hesbeck-Zitt; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 13, at Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch with Rev. Mark Woeltge officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home on Saturday. Interment will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Branch.  Military honors will be provided by the North Branch American Legion and VFW Posts.
