April 12 an electric fence is believed to have ignited hay bales at a farmstead on 360th in Amador Township. Firefighters were sent about 1:15 p.m. but the situation was pretty much under control by the owner.

Grass fire reported at Tern Avenue just outside of Taylors Falls about 4:25 p.m. Local fire departments handled.

Center City fire was sent to Bayview Apartments shortly after 6 p.m.  It turned out a resident had “burned dinner” and the incident was smoke-related only.

Also, related to the lightning storm in the evening of April 12 the phone company reported facilities problems with the land line network in the Harris area.

There was an overnight burglary report to Lakes Area Police, at Meredee’s Bistro in Lindstrom,  discovered about 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11. Cash was taken and forced entry made through a window.

April 10 Stacy-Lent firefighters were dispatched to a front end loader on fire on Fawn Lake Drive about 6:15 p.m. Fire appeared to have started in engine compartment.

Theft of a motorcycle from a Rushseba Township address reported. No description available.

Theft from a residence and outbuildings reported in Nessel Twsp. at a 520th Street address.

April 9 an inmate at the county jail damaged a heavy duty glass partition about 8:30 p.m. The quarters affected by the vandalism are not useable until repairs are made. Lakes Area sent an officer to help subdue the inmate.

April 8  a residential burglary call at an address on 363rd St in North Branch.
