Charlotte A. Ruser, age 89 of Center City, died on August 10, 2015.

Charlotte, devoted wife and mother, married Theodore on June 2, 1951, lived and raised her two sons in New Jersey before moving to Center City nine years ago.  They were married two weeks shy of 62 years.

She was a member of Chisago Lake Lutheran Church and a member of the Historical Committee serving as host and translator for the many groups from Sweden that visited.  Her life-long love for her Swedish heritage also included membership in Baltic Framåt Lodge #360 of the Vasa Order of America for over 50 years. During that time Charlotte led and taught Swedish songs and folk dances to children with the Vasa Children’s Club Gullvivan. After she moved to Minnesota, Charlotte served with the Kichisaga Swedish Club including organizing and teaching a week-long Swedish language and culture class to local children, for several years.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband Theodore F. Ruser, Jr., and brother Charles Lawesson.

She is survived by her sons Theodore F. (Judith) Ruser III and Karl L. (Christine) Ruser; grandchildren Brenden (Rachel), Erik (Tiffany), Heather (Darwin) Putt, Lars, Kirsten (Henry) Boeh; great grandchildren Abigail, Emily, Sarah, and Tyson.

Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom and one hour prior to the service at church.  Funeral Service 11a.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City.  Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Center City.  Memorials preferred to Fairview Lakes HomeCaring & Hospice, 11725 Stinson Ave., Chisago City, MN 55013 or Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, 1 Summit Ave., Center City, MN  55012.  Condolences may be left online at www.grandstrandfh.com
