Also, Xcel was involved in a powerline pole that was damaged by a vehicle and caused loss of power to the Oak Street neighborhood in Chisago City. This was August 20, reported about 10 a.m. The business owner of the truck was cooperating.
Aug. 20 a forced entry to a shed on Norelius Drive reported. No details on missing items.
August 23 sheriff’s patrol responded to a fire call at Sunrise Road and Hwy 30 in Harris. It appeared a molotov cocktail device was hurled at the building. No serious damages resulted. Report came in about 1:30 a.m.
Saturday Aug. 22 a motorist out in the stormy weather was unable to avoid hitting a tree that had fallen across 344th Street in Lent Township. Minor damage to the vehicle and a neighbor helped clear the road with a chainsaw, for the township to finish up later.
An attempt to serve a warrant arrest in the Lacy Avenue area ended up in a pursuit of a felony suspect, in Chisago City about 10 p.m. Aug 22. The sheriff’s K9 unit hit on scent near the Primary School and the rooftop was checked and cleared. Search was discontinued.
