Warren Sandberg of Almelund, MN, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Parmly LifePointes, Chisago City, at the age of 92.

Warren was born September 13, 1922 in Amador Township to Fred and Carrie (Sellman) Sandberg. He graduated from Taylors Falls High School. On June 7, 1959 he married his wife Carol at Calvary Lutheran Church at Rush Point. He farmed all of his life. Warren was also active in his community. He was Scout Leader for the Almelund Boy Scout Troop 143, served as an Amador Township Supervisor, was on the Almelund Creamery Board, the Chisago County Fair Board, a member of the Ki Chi Saga Swedish Club, a Friend of the Amador Heritage Center and a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Warren and Carol were honored to be the 2005 Chisago County Senior Citizens of the Year.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents; wife Carol; infant son, and sister Ruthe Clark. He is survived by his children Sue Sandberg of St. Paul; John (Debra Scott) of Almelund; Dale (Ann) of Almelund; Carl of Almelund; seven grandchildren; Elizabeth, Casey, Jennifer, Teresa, Christina, Alicia and Mike; one great-granddaughter Joselyn; brother-in-law Larry Clark of Lopez, Washington and in-laws Don (Koreen Gerdin) Paulson of East Bethel, Harriet (Jerry) Johnson of Eden Prairie and Al Engelbrecht of Maple Grove; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday August 25 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Almelund.  Interment was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.   Memorials preferred, to Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
