On November 25 sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a reported stabbing in Shafer.  Shawna Marie Lasiuk, 54, of Shafer, had called 9-1-1 and reported that she’d killed her husband with a knife.  The call came in about 8:43 p.m.  

Authorities found Gene Warren Moey, 49, inside the Redfield Court home and he was not dead, but was treated and released from an area hospital. The knife was recovered at the scene. Lasiuk faces assault charges, was booked and has been released on bail.

November 27 deputies gave a North Branch officer a hand when arresting a female, as she allegedly interfered with North Branch Police,  who were detaining a male suspect, about midnight at 6407 Main Street.

November 29 Lakes Area Police Dept.  was asked to assist on a distrubance call with Wyoming Police responding to the motel, on Forest Blvd. Four people were brought in on alleged probation violations and a fifth was facing disorderly conduct charges.  Call came in between midnight and 1 a.m.
