Please join us March 23, 2015 for “Parent University”-Raising Kids with Love, Learning & Joy!  Come and join us from 6 pm-8 pm at the PAC.  Dr. Timothy Johnson and Michael Anderson will speak from 6 pm-7 pm about raising kids in ways that will reduce shame, foster maturity and help them to become life-ready adults.  Breakout sessions will follow the main speakers from 7:15 pm-8 pm.  Breakout sessions will include the following topics:  Techno Parenting, Checklist to Adulthood, Gifted and Talented, Preparing for College, and digital Citizenship.  This opportunity is free and is sponsored by the Chisago Lakes Parent Teacher Organization, Taylors Falls Parents for Education and Chisago Lakes Community Education.  

The Chisago Lakes School Board approved BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) for 8th and 9th graders next school year (2015-16).  
We are excited that this program is continuing and that it will be expanding to the high school.  There will be a BYOD informational meeting March 18 for all current 7th-grade parents in the MS Cafeteria from 6:30 pm-7:30 pm.  A letter will be emailed to all 7th-grade parents with additional details in a couple of weeks.  If you would like  information about this program prior to the letter and informational meeting please visit our web page.  Once you have reached our web page, click on parent resources, then on BYOD.

CORN DRIVE...CLMS is collecting canned corn for our local food shelf to help fill the Easter Food Baskets.  We are in need of a minimum of 350 cans.  Please help us build our canned corn wall in the media center by donating a can of corn.

Term 2 report cards are now posted on Schoolview under the report card link.  Please take time to review with your student(s) their grades and discuss Term 3 goals to maintain positive grades or develop a plan to help them earn better grades.  If you need assistance accessing your student’s report card or would like a hard copy mailed to your home, please contact Valerie Rogers at 213-2402 or by email at vrogers@ isd2144.org.
