Mylo Nelson, age 74, of Apple Valley, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Feb. 2, 2015 after a bout with cancer.

He was preceded in death by parents Russ and Myrtle, and brother Elwood. He was born and raised in Lindstrom, MN, served in the Navy and married Barb Nelson. He was devoted to his family and held a passion for beer can collecting.

Survivors include his sons Gerald Nelson and his wife Cindy of Mason City, IA; David Nelson and his wife Patti of Farmington; Daniel Nelson, and his companion Lisa Spray of Alborn. Mylo treasured two stepchildren, Karen and Joe whom he always considered as his own. Dear to his heart were seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. His sister Annette Swanson of Bonita Springs, FL and brother Lyle Nelson of La Grange, OR also survive him.

A fellowship reception will be held Feb 15, at 11 am at the VFW, 311 W 84th St, Bloomington, MN with a service at the Chisago Lakes Lutheran church later this summer.
