Chisago Lakes Middle School generated a few calls to Lakes Area Police last week, with underage consumption the alleged offense  in a couple of cases, and students who walked away from school.  On Thursday, February 12, officers were made aware of an intoxicated pupil who left the building on foot, she was located and unwillingly taken into custody. Another complaint related to two students consuming an alcoholic beverage on a bus.  And, another walkaway reported and resolved by police Feb 10.

One citation issued over the week for cigarette use at high school.

Multiple deer collision incidents were reported to Lakes Area Police over last week, with most in the vicinity of Lofton, north of Chisago City.  One crash about 6 a.m. Feb 15 left the animal wedged underneath the car, and it was dragged for miles, as special equipment was needed to free the carcass.
