Harriet A. Olson of Chisago City, formerly of Lindstrom and Center City died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, at the age of 85.

Harriet was born September 23, 1929 to Fred and Linnea Nelson.  She was Baptized and Confirmed at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church.  She graduated from Chi-Hi in 1947.  She married Harold Olson at Chisago Lake Lutheran in 1948 and they moved to the home farm.  She was a housewife, a mother and later worked at the County Recorder’s Office, the Center City Supervalu, and the Center City Post Office, where she retired from.  She moved to a townhouse in Lindstrom.  In her free time Harriet enjoyed dancing, traveling, playing cards and socializing.  She remained in touch with high school classmates with a regular monthly luncheon.

Harriet was preceded in death by her parents and husband Harold.  She is survived by her sons Bruce (Debra), Brian (Dorothy); grandchildren Tom (Margaret) Pomeroy, Jeremy (Anna) Olson, Kristofer (Meagan) Olson, Kari Olson; great-grandchildren George, Logan and Linnea, special friend Ken Erickson, other relatives and friends.  

Funeral services were Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church.  Interment was in Hillside Cemetery in Center City.  Arrangements by  Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom.  Condolences may be left online at www.grandstrandfh.com.
