Elsie Reed, age 85, of Center City, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Ecumen Parmly LifePointes in Chisago City.  Elsie was born in Osceola, Wisconsin on September 12, 1929 to parents John and Alma Will.  She married Glenn Reed in 1949 and lived and raised her family on a farm in rural Center City, Minnesota.

She is preceded in death by her husband Glenn; brother Albert Will; brother-in-law Robert Reed; sister-in-law Doris Franz and her husband Harold, and sister-in-law Janet Reed.

Elsie is survived by her children; Marilyn (Jerry) Appleby of Austin, Texas, Linda (Neil) Turner of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Cheryl (Andy) Marshall of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Kent (Deb) Reed of Center City, Minnesota;  grandchildren - Darren (Heather) Appleby of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Deanna (Brad) Mauritzen of Houston, Texas, Drew and Daniel Turner of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Davrie Turner of New York, New York, Alison (Brandon) Larson of Center City, Minnesota, Katie (Cam) Lallier of Champlin, Minnesota, and Eric Reed of Center City, Minnesota;  and great grandchildren - Isaac, Regan, and Luke Appleby of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Hallie and Evan Mauritzen of Houston, Texas, Wyatt and Stella Larson of Center City, Minnesota, and baby Lallier of Champlin arriving in June.

Elsie is also survived by other relatives including sister-in-law Marilyn Will of Osceola, Wisconsin, brother-in-law Vincent Reed of Verona, Wisconsin, sister-in-law Darlene Reed of Lindstrom, Minnesota; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family Kuhnly kids.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church.  Interment was in Hillside Cemetery in Center City.  Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom.  Condolences may be left online at www.grandstrandfh.com.
