The state patrol reports a Forest Lake area man was involved in a fatal two-car crash Saturday, Jan 24 in northern Minnesota.

According to preliminary information-- a Volkswagen Jetta driven by 29-year-old Peter P. Sarkisyan, Forest Lake, did not stop at a sign at Hwys. 65 and 18 about 9:30 p.m.  

Sarkisyan’s car, which was westbound on Hwy. 18,  struck a Ford Fiesta northbound on Hwy. 65, killing the driver, 47-year old Anthony Sundholm, of McGrath.  Neither Sarkisyan nor a passenger in his Jetta, were seriously injured.  

January 24 a report to Lakes Area Police of a theft of two snowblowers from an address on Neal Avenue in Lindstrom.

Domestic assault reported at address on Lakeside Trail about 4 a.m. Female victim was transported and male alleged suspect had fled scene before police were called.

January 22 a report of a deceased person, came in about 10 a.m.  Caller came upon the victim at an address on Nathan Court.  The medical examiner and Lakes Area Police are looking into the Cause of Death.

January 21  Many area law enforcement and EMS/first responders took part in an active shooter drill held during the day in Wyoming.

Lakes Area Police documented property damages at five addresses January 20 after some type of vehicle went on an off-road adventure off South Center Lake.  The complaints also stated the vehicle was carrying somebody shooting a firearm. Mailboxes, a fence and plantings were damaged. The report came in about 2:45 a.m.

Sheriff took a report of theft of ATV and tools from garage on Acacia Way. Stolen ATV is a Kawasaki KFX 700, 2006 model.

Crash at Morgan and Chisago Blvd. south of Lindstrom, reported Jan. 20 about 4:45 p.m. No injuries and one of the three vehciles involved could still be driven.

Several fish houses on Rush Lake were broken into over the week. Loss reports still being filed.
