Janet Lynn Swenson, age 62 of Center City previously of North Branch, Almelund and Center City passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at her home in Center City.   Her 10 year battle with cancer is finally over.  Janet (or Baby as she was known in her youth) was the youngest of six children born to Herman and Esther (Schilling/Fischer) White of North Branch.

Janet is survived by her four children: Chad (Julie Segal) White, Charles “Chuck” (Cindy) Lindee, Sara (Tom) Willie and Josh (Jessica Ecklund) Swenson; her two grandchildren, Brayden and Eva Willie; her fiancé Bob Gonnella.  She is also survived by her siblings, Melvin (Erma) White, Joyce (DeWaine) Hischer, Marlene Marohn,  Donna (Russell) Wenell, Butch (Sandy) Fischer, Herman “Junior” (Sharon) White Harold (Linda) White, Ilene (Roger) Else, Mary (Doug) Swanson and Jean “Muffett” (Dennis Miron) White.  Janet is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her cat, Betty Lou.

She is preceded in death by her parents;  former husband, Jeff Swenson; half sibling Vernon Fischer; brother-in- law Jerry Marohn and sister -in-law Carolyn White.
Janet loved her job at Hazelden and the friends she made there.  She enjoyed music, playing cards, garage sales, jigsaw puzzles and the ocean.  She especially loved her grandchildren, Brayden and Eva Lynn.  She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

Memorial services were noon Tuesday, July 7 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, in Stacy with Pastor Mary Ellen Steinkraus officiating.  Music provided by Lynne Graber and Chris Hjelmberg.  Visitation one hour prior to the service at church.  Family interment will take place at a later date.  
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
