Friday, June 12 a sheriff squad car was rear-ended by an inattentive driver, while the deputy waited at the red light at Lofton Avenue (Isabel St.) and Hwy. 8, Chisago City, about 10 p.m.  No injuries were reported in the preliminary information.

June 10 an area resident was hurt when a truck slipped out of gear and rolled over him as he worked on it, about 6 p.m. near Forest Blvd. and 465th Street Harris.   The rolling truck also broke a farm fence at 465th Street.  A daughter had come to transport her injured father by car,  but authorities called an ambulance to take him to Harris ballfields for air transport.
June 10 a report of a burglary at a vacant foreclosure home in Lent Township. Loss includes dishwasher, microwave oven, and water softener.

A business owner reported finding heating and air ducts smeared with old meat and garbage, around noon June 10.  There was also interior damage done. Lakes Area has cited a suspect for criminal damage to property.

Also June 10 a counterfeit $10 bill surfaced at a business on Lake Blvd. and Lakes Area Police Dept. was advised by Central Bank.  The suspect only exchanged it at the business location for smaller bills and left, police learned.

Police recovered a stolen trailer in Chisago City and communicated with Blaine Police,  who have had the item towed.

June 9 a report to Lakes Area Police of a “found” one year old child at Lakeview Motel. The authorities took the child into protective custody about 9 a.m.  The parent was eventually determined and located.

June 8 a small truck rolled over an embankment on Quinlan Avenue in Amador Township, reported about 7 p.m.  Driver was trying to “hang it sideways” and lost control, according to preliminary reports.
