Lakes Area Police Department conducted a bicycle Safety Rodeos at Taylors Falls Elementary School and Lakeside Elementary School In Chisago City. Rodeos were very well attended and there were over 60 young riders from both schools getting safety instruction from Police Officers; Reserve Officers, Lakes Area Police Assistants and health care workers.

Fairview Lakes Regional Health Outreach was on hand to provide life Saving helmets at $5 each.

St. Croix Falls Regional health care volunteers helped with registration, fitting helmets and bicycle adjustments. All Participants received instruction in rules of the road, hand signaling, bicycle handling and agility, radar run and even a snail race.

"With summer upon us young riders need a reminder on how to be safe on their bikes" stated Chief Kevin Stenson.

This year’s sponsors are: Lakes Area Police Department, Lindstrom Arby's, Fairview Lakes Regional Health Outreach, St. Croix Regional Medical Center, St. Croix Walmart, Chain of Lakes Realty, Security State Bank of Marine, Chisago City McDonalds, Forest Lake  Target, Central Bank of Chisago City, US Bank of Chisago City, and Forest Lake Walmart.
