Sunday, May 24 local authorities gave mutual aid to Wyoming Police to apprehend an alleged hit and run driver, causing property damage on Green Lake Trail, about 7:30 p.m.  The patrol cars saturated an area around Heath and Hwy. 8 and located the suspect, a 27-year-old North Branch man, who had fled his car when it crashed.

A Lakes Area Police seatbelt enforcement effort resulted in a number of warrant arrests and tickets issued for no insurance, on top of citing the driver for failing to wear seatbelts.

May 24 a power pole on Forest Blvd. was discovered broken off affecting power in Lent Township in that vicinity about 6 p.m.

May 22 a female motor- cycist was transported by Allina from a crash scene in Fish Lake Township.  Authorities were notified about 5:15 p.m.  Victim was not wearing a helmet. Regions in St. Paul did not have a condition update Tuesday.

Thursday, May 21 a student was alleged to be in possession of “regulated” medication and marijuana at Chisago Lakes High School. The incident is under investigation.  

Also a high school student was transported last week for medical attention after lacerating his wrist on a bolt, when retrieving a soccer ball.

A couple of dumping incidents reported to Lakes Area Police, items including couches,  were illegally discarded around 281st Street and Sportsmans Drive.
