Gordon D. Shepardson, age 83 of Taylors Falls died November 1, 2015.  He was born in Duluth, Minnesota and graduated from Central High School.  He was a 55 years member of Carpenters Local 87 and worked in construction as a carpenter/superintendent.  He was proud of the many buildings he worked on, including 3M, Daytons (downtown St. Paul), Eden Prairie Center, Maplewood Mall as well as many churches in the Twin Cities.  He assisted with the elevator installation at First Lutheran Church.  

He enjoyed hobbies including antiques (with all his friends at the Lindstrom Mall), reconstructing motors, watching sports, boating, racing snowmobiles, hunting and especially traveling.  He enjoyed time with family and friends.

Gordon is preceded in death by parents George and Grace Shepardson and brother Gerald (Gloria) Shepardson.  

He is survived by wife Janet Stanger Shepardson; son Todd Stanger and significant other Lori Simmons and her family; and daughter Lynn (Bob) Zemlin; grandchildren Ellie and Andrew Zemlin; other relatives and friends.  

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2015 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taylors Falls, Minnesota.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church.  Interment at Kahbakong Cemetery in Taylors Falls, Minnesota.  Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom.  Condolences may be expressed online at grandstrandfh.com
