October 30 Fire in a garage on Briar Lane in Taylors Falls. Reported about 8 p.m. Cause was a wood stove.
October 29 a black lab dog was hit and killed on Hwy 8 near Shafer. No collar or identifying markings on dog.
October 28 graduation for the 2015 Citizens’ Academy was held, at the Lakes Region EMS facility in North Branch. All area police departments and the sheriff’s department provide instruction and hands-on experiences for citizens who enroll in the free nine-week sessions. (See photo.)
October 27 a trailer home was engulfed in fire by the time firefighters arrived at the scene on Stacy Trail, about 5 p.m. Serveral departments helped at the site due to large propane tanks also involved.
October 26 a residential burglary is under investgation on Hemingway Ave in Stacy-Lent area.
Vehicle fire at Parmly on Old Towne Road in Chisago City. Reported between noon and 1 p.m. Parmly employee used extinguisher.
Over the week there was one ticket for a student with an e cigarette at the high school in Lindstrom, one student was sent home for alcohol consumption, and an officer was called to help staff dismiss an employee and make sure keys and I.D. were returned.
