The preliminary report was unavailable, but a media representative for state patrol identified the drivers as Robert Jennissen, 52 of Lindstrom, in a 1999 Toyota Sienna, and 81-year-old Lois Berglund, also of Lindstrom, in a 2011 Ranger.
Lakes Area Police transported one suicidal individual over the past week for a mental health 72-hour hold and one person was transported as unresponsive when authorities responded to a call concerned for someone’s welfare. Lakes Area officers also responded to a number of other reports of threatened suicide.
November 5 Sheriff personnel recovered a deer hunting bow that was left behind, when a hunter was reportedly trespassing on private land and using a permanent deer stand. The complainant said the hunter ran off and dropped the bow when confronted. The incident was on Ivywood Trail, outside of Stacy. If this is your bow, call and describe it to claim at sheriff’s department found property room.
Chisago Lakes Area High School reported an incident of student underage consumption at an event out-of-state to police. One e cigarette citation issued at the high school.
November 6 Lakes Area assisted sheriff deputies with a vehicle submerged at the boat landing near Chisago Lakes Middle School. (See photo.) The vehicle operator, who was located by following wet footprints, didn’t live far away. He said he was “power unloading” a boat into North Center Lake and he fell out of the driver’s seat, as the vehicle backed into lake.
November 8 a 26-year-old suspect was booked for second degree assault and terroristic threats after being apprehended by Lakes Area Police at a residence on Broadway Street, Lindstrom.
