Violet was born June 24, 1920 in Randall, Wisconsin to James and Tina (Olson) Jensen. She attended and graduated in 1938 from Amery High School. She later competed her college degree in 1967 from the University of Wisconsin River Falls. She married Lloyd Isaac on May 14, 1942 at the Methodist Church in Lindstrom, and they were married 48 years before Lloyd passed away in 1990. Violet was a third grade teacher for 28 years in the Chisago Lakes School District and seemed to run into past students everywhere she went! She loved reading, sewing and knitting intricate patterns as well as hosting coffee and card parties.
In her later years she loved watching the live video of the eagles nests in Decorah, Iowa and the Lift Bridge in the Duluth Harbor. Violet lived in Lindstrom until 2010 when she moved into the assisted living apartment at Parmley Life Pointes in Chisago City.
Violet is survived by her daughters Pat (Mike) Nordeen of Melbourne, FL; Marilyn Isaac of Grand Rapids and Penny (Craig) Nelson of White Bear Lake; grandchildren Jeff (Ann) Nordeen and Krista (Lt. Col. Jason) Pifer; great grandchildren Evan Nordeen and Zachary, Lilly and Rosey Pifer and step grandson, Sam Braseth. Violet is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd and her three sisters and two brothers.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 28, at the Ecumen Parmly Lifepointes Chapel with Rev. Tim Blauert officiating. Serving as pianist is Jane Iverson and soloist is Dan Ford. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the Ecumen Parmly Lifepointes Chapel in Chisago City. Family interment will take place at the Wolf Creek Cemetery near St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin.
