Various thefts reported Sept. 22, 23 and 24 in rural areas of the county...shed in Fish Lake Township was entered by digging under the overhead door.  Another theft at Rush Lake Camgrounds reported Sept. 23 about 5 p.m.  Loss includes tank of gas ($10) and battery charger solar panel ($40). And a theft from an address on Wilcox Road Sunrise Twsp included a mountain bike, miscellaneaous hunting goods, chainsaw and horse sheets.

Lakes Area (Shoreline Ct.)and North Branch Police (Conger, Lincoln and St Croix Trails and 382nd) had reports of numerous thefts out of vehicles over the week. Lock yoour vehicles and don’t leave cash or items inside.

Sunday, September 27 there was a need for multiple officers to respond to a report of a suicidal male with a gun, at an address on Mentzer Trail in Lindstrom. Suspect eventually exited the home and was transported for a welfare hold.

Saturday September 26 about 2 p.m. a two-vehicle crash at Morgan Ave and Chisago Blvd, south of Lindstrom sent one driver by air to be treated. Early details are that a mini-Cooper car driven by James Michael Merry, was southbound, going across Chisago Blvd and collided with a westbound min-van. Driver was identified as Diana Lynn Weller. Merry was transported by air to Regions. His condition was not imediately available at presstime.

A capsized canoe Saturday made for some tense moments  for authorities, on the St Croix near the Osceola bridge, but everything turned out ok. The several canoeists-- young and old--  were wearing personal floatation gear and made it to shore. EMS teams awaited.  The incident was reported to 9-1-1 about 4:30 pm. Saturday, September 26.
