Crash on I-35 Tuesday
An 18-year-old from Stacy was involved in a two-vehicle crash near Lino Lakes Tuesday morning and at press deadline was hospitalized.  State Patrol early reports are that a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Danielle Pawlenty somehow struck a Silverado while both vehicles were northbound on 35 in Anoka County about 5 a.m. The patrol said the driver of the Silverado was a 49-year-old Vadnais Heights man, he was not seriously hurt. The Tahoe lost control and went into a ditch and rolled, according to early details.

Lakes Area Police were called to Primary School in Chisago City a couple times;  for an employee who was ill and needed transport on Sept 30 and for a false fire alarm, where the officer had a talk with the first grader who activated the alarm.  The Chisago Lakes high school also had an officer cite a student alleged to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

A wallet was found by Chisago City Public Works along a roadside Sept 30 and was turned into Lakes Area headquarters.  Contact police offices 257-0622 and give details to claim.

Sheriff’s deputies took a report of theft of a Craftsman riding lawnmower (green) from a locked shed at a business in Stacy.

Two complaints of vacuum cleaner salespeople operating in Rush City. The salespersons lacked a city permit and were advised by deputies that going door-to-door working after dark isn’t allowed.

October 4 theft of a commpound hunting bow and snowmobile helmets reported from an address in Taylors Falls, on West St.

North Branch Police handled two suicidal person complaints, and had a number of gas drive-off and other miscellaneous theft reports.
