Kenneth Albright, age 79, went to be present with the Lord October 11, 2015, from his residence at Ecumen North Branch memory care facility.

Ken was born in Chicago (1936) and raised in Evergreen Park, Illinois by Clarence and Greta Albright along with Harvey, Ken’s older brother.

Ken and Sheila Newlander became friends at Bellevue Baptist Church as teenagers.  Ken went to baseball school in Florida, then to Bethel College and Seminary in Minnesota.

Ken and Sheila walked together through life as youth directors, students, volunteers in evangelism and Bible studies, choir directing, as well as ministering at two churches (Thompson, Iowa and Negaunee, Michigan) for 15 years, then they were sent to Mexico as church planters for 18 years.
During the Bethel and pastoring years they raised three daughters, Nancy, Jane and Ann.

Retirement was in 1995 at Lindstrom, Minnesota where Sheila had inherited her grandfather’s house.  Ken was blessed with good friends like Al Jette and Chuck Schrantz to help improve and add onto the 100-year old house.
 
Due to a heart attack, Ken and Sheila left Lindstrom February 2013.  Due to Alzheimer’s disease they did not return but lived at independent senior housing, then assisted living followed by memory care.

Ken was special, loved, secured and blessed by God.

Funeral Service 3 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Lakes Free Church in Lindstrom, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service at church.  Interment at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom.  Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, MN.  Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com
