Lakes Area Police had three incidents dealing with allegedly suicidal persons, a number of domestic assault and similar incidents reported;  as well as an unusual number of publicly intoxicated people.  One suspect was on roller blades and sitting alongside Hwy 8 in Chisago City, when officers located him,  for the second time Oct 6. He had already been escorted home an hour earlier.

Two reports of mail tampering to the sheriff’s department, one mailbox site in Harris and the other in Sunrise Twsp.

Also Tuesday Oct 6 a driver “blacked out” while on Highway 8 near Center City at Grand Avenue, and went off the road and took out a power line about 2 p.m.  Traffic was detoured into Center City and around the line lying on the highway.

October 5 a domestic disturbance at an address on Olinda Trail reported about 8 p.m., required aid from a sheriff patrol car.  Lakes Area handled the incident.

Oct. 5 North Branch Police made an arrest for impaired driving, following a traffic incident with an erratic driver reported about 7:30 p.m. near the west side Holiday station.

Frandsen Park on Rush Lake had property damage, reported about 3 p.m. Oct 5. Minor spray painting and a portable toilet was knocked over.
Loose cattle (10 cows) reported on River Road in Rushseba Twsp. Owner advised he’ll be cited if repeat incident.

Theft from a vehicle parked on Irene Ave, Lindstrom overnight.  iPhone 5 and sunglasses among the missing items.  A group of thefts also reported from girls locker room, at middle school in Lindstrom, Oct 7.

October 7 another vandalism episode was found at a city playground on McGuire Trail, in Lindstrom.  This is the second set of property damages found here.  The sheriff’s personnel responded to call of a theft from forced entry to a storage unit in Shafer on Hwy 8.  Jiffy ice auger, Dewalt miter saw, air guns and miscellaneous items missing.

October 9 an unattended burn was ticketed at Franconia Sculpture Park. Fire was reported at nearly midnight.

October 10 a man was given a warning by sheriff’s personnel for dumping manure in ditches in Sunrise Township on Teal Ave.  He was also directed to cleanup the material.
