Violet V. Johnson, age 91, of Shafer, MN passed away October 12, 2015. 

Violet was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald, parents Andrew and Agnes Munson, her sister Helen, brothers Edwin and Emmet, Baby Girl Johnson, and nephew Ron Munson.  She is survived by her sons Larry (Sharon) and Brian (Lugene) of Shafer; daughter Sandra (Vern) Scheer of Madison, NE;  and is also survived by her grandchildren: Todd, Angie, Wade, Ashley; Kim and Keri; Trevor, Melissa and Briana and seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.  

Vi loved to garden and bake and spend time with her family. Violet is famous for her rusks, cupcakes and angel food cake.  She will be remembered for her quick wit, sassy attitude and zest for life, and her love of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City, MN. Visitation will be the two hours prior to the service,  at the church.
