The Northwoods Humane Society Fall Jubilee fundraiser filled Lent Township Hall,  Saturday.  There were  dogs of all shapes and sizes and their humans, enjoying carnival style games, a bake sale, concessions, silent auction and other fun stuff.  The dogs were encouraged to come in costume to celebrate Halloween and a butterfly winged dog and a dog in witch costume posed for photos in the contest corner...also this pug looked to be enjoying riding around inside the town hall in a remote controlled car making everybody smile.

Northwoods is participating in  the Petco Foundation’s annual “Holiday Wishes”  grant program and could win $100,000 as a grand prize.  If you have adopted a dog or cat  from Northwoods Humane Society, in Wyoming on Hwy 8-- consider writing a brief story about how the pet has changed your life for the better.  Make it under 500 words, and take some photos of you and your pet.  Submit these to Petco Foundation’s “Holiday Wishes” grant campaign, see petco.com/holidaywishes for details.   Deadline to send in your story is October 31.  Be sure to include this Northwoods Humane Society contact info-- the funding coordinator’s name is Charlotte Ihrke  and can be reached at 651-982-0240 or [email protected]
