Also Aug. 25 a driver with a Forest Lake address ran his vehicle into Countyline Liquors exterior wall about 9 p.m. Wyoming Police handled the call. A DUI blood draw was done at the hospital, charges are pending.
August 26 officers executed a search warrant at an address on Lacy Avenue in Chisago City and seized evidence. The homeowner was not present.
Incidents of vandalism reported and extra patrol requested at a Third Avenue apartment building in Lindstrom.
August 27 theft of tree splitter reported from a Fish Lake Township address.
August 28 a new scam reported. The complainant was told he was chosen to display RockStar energy drink advertising on his vehicle. All he had to do was deposit a check he’d be mailed and then send a portion of the funds (uncertain sum) back via a MoneyGram. Investigators advised the Chisago City resident this is a scam.
August 30 a little after midnight deputies went to a report of an ATV crash. A female passenger who tested as intoxicated, was reportedly injured when the ATV on which she was riding rolled and crashed on 320th Street. By the time law enforcement was notified the ATV had been moved and the victim was at an address on Lofton Avenue. The driver, who did not test positive for impairment, said he was avoiding cars “in the middle of the road” that he abruptly came upon while giving the woman a ride.
Lakes Area officers handled two suicidal attempt or threat incidents over the week.
