The Twins Community Fund was instrumental allowing the City of Lindstrom to re-hab Pumphouse Park, installing a new ballfield, with warning track and fencing, and a hydration station will be completed soon. There’s also a new restroom at the park, a basketball hoop and in cooperation with the Soil & Water Conservation District a rain garden was put in. The Twins awarded a total of $361,125 in this year’s round of field projects for kids, and Lindstrom received $10,000. Twins Community Fund grants range from $1,000 to $10,000 and the next round of applications begins January 2016. Pumphouse Park project contractors included Peterson Companies, St. Croix Recreation and Century Fence.
