The local Girl Scout troops sold cookies this Spring. They gave their customers the option to purchase cookies for our military. The girls did a fantastic job selling cookies for our military. Girl Scout Troops # 58650, 52925, 57426, 56332, 55207, 57425, 52347, 52954, 56329, 55205 of Mid du lac service units were the girls that sold cookies. 424 boxes will be sent overseas to the military. The boxes will be sent through Treats for Troops, which is a non-profit group that remembers our Minnesota military with care boxes. A grant from Thrivent (a fraternal organization) will help with the shipping costs. Included in the shipments will be t-shirts from past Patriot Rides. Several hundred shirts were donated by Dennis Kirk of Rush City. With help from our community many military men and women will be blessed.
