Matthew John Groettum of North Branch, Minnesota, died unexpectedly on August 21, 2016, at the age of 43. Matthew was born on May 4, 1973 in Cambridge, Minnesota to parents David and Joyce (Lindeman) Groettum. He is a graduate of North Branch High School class of 1991.

Matthew enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed playing golf with his son, Cole. When he was younger, Matthew was an avid skier, golfer and tennis player.  Matthew loved to work on a project and his many talents served him well in this area.   He was always willing to contribute his time and efforts to support the ones he loved.

Matthew is survived by his son, Cole; parents, David and Joyce Groettum of North Branch; sister, Kirsten (Anthony) Ehrnriter of North Branch and his nephews, Christian and Colin Ehrnriter.
A celebration of Matthew’s life will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from      1 to 4 p.m. at Grandstrand Funeral Home, North Branch.
