Lakes Area Police wrote a number of overnight street parking offense warning tickets during the week.  Readers are reminded to not park vehicles on Chisago City or Lindstrom streets overnight, until restrictions are lifted in April.  

There are also parking restrictions generally from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. on streets in North Branch, etc. Check with your local police office or city hall if in doubt, or if you have special parking issues.
November 27 a Wyoming Police officer was pursuing a suspect on foot from near the I-35 corridor, and Lakes Area Police went to assist. The incident was reported about 3:40 a.m.  
Suspect was reported to be involved in a car theft and was apprehended and the police secured the vehicle.

Also Nov. 27 a suicidal person was reported by a caller at a Pleasant Valley Road  address.  Authorities were called soon after this initial call, to a disturbance involving a bleeding person at the Pizza Pub, Center City,  not far from the original call.  The person was transported for medical attention.   

November 25 a house break-in was reported on Preserve Blvd. in Chisago City.  No details about missing items.

November 25 two Lindstrom residents were transported by Lakes Region EMS to St. Croix Medical Center, Nov. 25 following a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 8.  

The incident was reported about 4:30 p.m. on Hwy. 8 at Unity Avenue, between Shafer and Taylors Falls.

Early details are that the eastbound car;  driven by 45-year-old Torrance Lee of New Richmond, Wisc. crossed the center line and hit a westbound car, carrying 77-year-old Allen and Gail Gaustad, age 76 both from Lindstrom.  They were wearing seatbelts and sustained undescribed injuries.  

The driver of the car that hit the Gaustad vehicle was not suffering from apparent injury, the state patrol reports.  He said he thought he fell asleep, according to the preliminary crash repport.
A Stihl chainsaw reported stolen from an address on Furuby Road rural Center City.

November 22 a couple of students at Chisago Lakes High School were cited for disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting in school. Report was received about 11:30 a.m.

November 21 a theft reported of heavy duty cords used in railroad operations, loss is from rural North Branch address.  Value is $4,100.
