Frances Corey Magner of rural Taylors Falls, Minnesota passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016 in Coon Rapids, MN.  Frances was born on May 29, 1921 to Leslie and Mathilda Corey of Lindstrom, Minnesota.  She attended and graduated from Chi High in 1939 and attended beauty school.  During World War II, she lived and worked in California.   

January 22, 1949, Frances married Paul Magner of Shafer, Minnesota.  They ran a dairy farm until 1994 and resided in the Magner family farmhouse until it burned in 1982.  They had two children, Paula and Leslie, and two grandchildren, Allison and Corey.

Fran was an active member of the community and of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Almelund throughout her life.  She will be deeply missed by her family and lifelong friends and neighbors.  
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her parents, and five brothers, Clifford, Howard, Ronald, Sidney, and Frank, and three sisters, Mary, Agnes, and Jean.  She is survived by Paula and Scott Nystrom, Leslie and Corey Magner, Allison Zaloudek, Joyce Peterson, James Magner, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Almelund with Pastor Marla Amborn officiating.  Visitation is at 9:30 am until the time of service at church.  Interment at the Almelund Cemetery.  Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com
