The Lakes Area Police have had continuing complaints about snowmobilers in private yards.  The department also took a couple complaints again last week about suspicious activity around private mailboxes.

January 24 a dog reported as lost, a black German Shepherd, in southern Lindstrom. Dog has a black collar.

January 23 a traffic stop resulted in methamphetamine reportedly being located in suspect’s car, after state patrol requested a K-9 unit.    Incident was at Park Trail and Hwy. 95 Almelund,  about 11 p.m.  The driver reportedly resisted apprehension and force was used in her arrest. A male passenger was taken to another address for a ride. The complaint alleges that about nine grams of meth was located.

January 22 a deputy met a complainant at Rush Point Store to take a theft report, items taken from vehicle at Goose Lake access.

Jan. 19 a car driver was transported after falling aseleep and going off the road, striking a tree on Deerwood Trail near County Highway 60, Fish Lake Township.  Crash reported about 11 a.m.
Jan. 19 a reported natural gas line cut,  at Harris about 2:30 p.m.  The authorities addressed the gas leak over about three hours on-site, and Harris firefighters were called to assist.  People around the Ginger Avenue-440th Street scene were evacuated.
