Fatal on #95 outside of North Branch
The state patrol, North Branch officers and sheriff’s patrol squads were sent to the scene of a three-vehicle crash Saturday on Hwy. 95, in the vicinity of Harder Park, about 3 p.m.  June 2.

A 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven eastbound on #95, by 35-year-old Collin M. Orth of Milaca, went over the center line and collided head-on with a mini van.

The motorcycle driver and his passenger Sara Orth, 34, were fatally injured.

The minivan was also struck from the rear, according to preliminary reports.  

A Trailblazer operated by a 17-year-old Wisconsin resident,  and carrying an 18 year-old passenger were unable to avoid the incident scene.

The #2 vehicle, the 2003 Chrysler minivan,  carried four passengers, ages 44, 10, 15 and 13 who were not seriously hurt.  The van driver Mark Lindstrom, 44 of Wisconsin escaped serious injury.

A lone pilot reportedly running low on fuel, put down a small aircraft a little after 10 p.m. Friday July 1, on I-35 near the Wyoming exit in the southbound lanes.  Traffic was delayed for a couple hours, while the plane was loaded for a tow, according to the state patrol. No vehicles were struck and no injuries reported. Authorities stated the pilot advised them that, he was unable to locate the Cambridge Airport, where he had been headed, and he opted for the freeway.

 A fire reported June 28 inside a shed/detached garage, at an address on Cedarcrest Trail in Fish Lake Township about 7:30 p.m.  North Branch Fire handled.
