Chisago Lakes is excited to announce there is now a new chapter of Let's Go Fishing. With the help of Frankie's Marine, the Chisago Lakes Lions Club, Midwest One Bank, St Croix Regional Medical Center, Chisago City Fire Department, TCFI, the Chisago Lakes Rotary, Northwoods Roasterie, St. Bridgets, and Copy Pro, a boat dedicated to Chisago Lakes is now completed. The boat will be stationed at Frankie's and will be used on local lakes. It will service seniors, handicapped and all Veterans. The boat can accommodate up to six people and comes with a captain and an assistant. The boat may be used for fishing or just sightseeing. Excursions will provide bait, tackle cookies and drinks. Users may bring their own fishing gear if they choose.
Let's Go Fishing is looking for volunteers. They are in need of captains and first mates. If you would like to volunteer, to be a captain, you must be fluent in pontoon boating. First mates are not required to have boating experience.
Right now, there are 16 excursion dates already planned, but they are looking for more. If you or someone you know would like to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity, it is as easy as picking up the phone and calling Joe at 651-261-4812 or emailing him at [email protected]. You will be glad you did.
Monetary donations are always welcome, you can donate by calling Joe at the number above. The new boat will be in the Karl Oskar Days Parade on Saturday.
