Lakes Area Police ran a compliance check June 22 on tobacco sales at nine licensed locations and one failed. Liquid nictotine was acquired by an under-aged decoy buyer.

Tuesday, June 21 Lakes Area Police and local authorities and firefighters went to the Old Towne Road re-construction area near 284th, about 8 a.m. on a call of a natural gasline hit.  Xcel and responders handled the incident with no serious injury.

Lakes Area Police recovered a stolen vehicle when responding to a caller reporting a suspected impaired driver at Kwik Trip,  in Chisago City.

June 22 there was a forced entry at Wild River State Park campgrounds structure. Estimate of $5,000 in damages to facility.

Business in Rush City (Triple T’s Pub and Grub) was broken into and a quantity of alcohol is missing.  Video evidence under review.

Stormy weather Saturday, June 25 brought down a tree on Kismet, blocking traffic.

Also June 25 an electrical fire reported in a recreational vehicle on Mentzer Trail Lindstrom about 11 a.m. Owner had put out fire.

Around 3:30 a.m. a report of a man banging on windows and doors of residence in Lakes Area Police territory. Suspect, age 55,  was arrested.

Stormy weather resulted in multiple utility call-outs for tree and debris clearing and repairs in the north half of county ...from Lent Township to near Lions Park, Taylors Falls to a large tree in roadway in Nessel on Rush Lake Trail.

June 24 a dog was reported to be lying in a traffic lane on Hwy. 8, and it turned out to be a coyote, located near James Ave. and Hwy. 8 about 11 p.m.

June 26 a fire reported at an address on River Road outside of Almelund, about 4:20 a.m.  No report available.
