Home Show had a great turnout; this is your chance to get into the Guide!
I loved spending time visiting with all of you who stopped to say hi at the show. We have some amazing readers who are such great people and it was so fun chatting with all of you.
Speaking of the show, we have a list of the door prize winners on page 5. If you happen to be one of the lucky ones, you are encouraged to contact the business that drew your name.
Chisago Lakes Schools is offering a great event on March 14. You are invited to “Parent University - Raising Life Ready Kids. It is a class that offers tips for raising kids in ways that reduce shame, fosters maturity and helps young people become life-ready adults. The event is free, they just ask that you pre-register by going to the Chisago Lakes School website and clicking on Community Educatiom, the link for registration is on the right side.
The Chisago Lakes Boys Basketball Team has earned a berth at state. This is just the third time the boys team has played in the tournament at least in the last 25 years or so. I would like to congratulate Chris Gargaro and his staff on a great year. These kids have worked their tails off throughout their careers to get to this point. Win or lose, this has been a great season for them and for their fans.
We are in full swing putting out our annual Community Guide. Each year we have many businesses who call us too late-- after the guide is printed.
They wanted to get their business into the guide and missed the cut. This is your chance to not miss the deadline. Businesses, getting your message out to the public has never been so easy, and so cheap. Cheap? Yep, if you think about it, you pay x amount for an ad in the guide. That ad is seen the entire year long. We continously replenish the guides at locations all around the area, making this the best buy for your buck.
Congratulations to Dave Danielson of Lindstrom, Sue Swanson of Chisago city and Sheri Hageman of Chisago City. These three were drawn as our subscription winners at the Home Show. They will receive the County Press free for the next year. I thank all of you who registered for the subscription contest. It was easily the largest amount of entries we have had in the last eight years.
