Boat driver thrown, watercraft airborne
Sheriff’s water patrol wrote a unique watercraft accident report. Authorities were called to East Rush Lake, where a jet boat struck the back deck on a house May 6 about 6:30 p.m.   

The driver was alone and told authorities he hit a wave, went airborne and was thrown-- and the boat kept going with the throttle open.  The house was about 40 to 50 feet from the shoreline.  Damage was confined to the deck and lawn, where chunks of sod were torn out as the boat, a Tango 210 “Sugar Sand” bounced once and flipped, landing upside down damaging the floor and rail of the deck.

Lakes Area Police and deputies were alerted to a rash of burglaries over the last several days.  Lakes Area made an arrest of a male, 31, and female 42, in downtown Lindstrom, on foot, who are believed to have been involved in a break-in at a home on Olinda Trail, not long before police caught up with them.  

May 2 there was a fire alarm at the Lakeside School about 10 a.m.  Turned out to have been triggered by steam in lunchroom kitchen.

Blue gazing ball reported stolen along with cement stand from Lindstrom address.

Checks were recovered at a suspect’s residence May 4 thought to have been used in making illegal purchases. The investigation is on-going.

May 5 a male was transported from the parking lot at The Northern in Chisago City. Police administered an AED shock and ambulance transport was to North Memorial.  Incident reported about 11:55-- almost midnight.

May 6 police recovered marijuana at Chisago Lakes Middle School and learned of alleged sale of the substance to students.
