Arson suspects are 12 years old
There have been arrests made in connection with a fire that destroyed an old creamery building in Rush City, November 12.  Firefighters were dispatched around mid-day.

The sheriff’s patrol deputy received tips and the case moved swiftly towards arrests.  In a statement the investigative team expressed thanks for the community’s help in making arrests.

Sheriff’s investigators added that two 12-year-old males are the suspects.  The boys apparently were known for infatuation with fire, and had previously tried to start fires to “ impress girls.”

Local firefighters were able to contain the fire to the one building, although structures next door displayed some minor damages from extreme heat, etc. according to the sheriff’s department.

November 14 Lakes Area Police were advised a “movie” is being shot using a house on Little Green Lake and there may be congestion on Pt. Pleasant Road. The filming is to conclude in mid-December.

A bike rider was hit at Lofton and Hwy. 8 about 5:40 p.m.  State patrol is writing the accident and details were not available Monday this week.

Wednesday November 16 a male juvenile fell out of a canoe and a person living on Stinson Avenue pulled him into shore. Incident reported about dusk.  Lindstrom Fire Department used the airboat to retrieve the canoe.

A loss of a black Spider 49cc bike from the Stacy Self-Storage unit was reported to authorities.

November 17 a deputy issued a ticket to a contractor burning prohibited materials at the former elder care house on Lindstrom Lane, which was undergoing remodeling.  Another burning ticket was issued in Nessel Township the same day for burning mattresses.

November 19 snowy and icy roads created incidents ranging from cars in ditches to power lines that were knocked down in the high wind.  A light pole at Meadowlark Lane was knocked down.  At Lehigh and Lindstrom Lane a power line was causing a hazard. There was a head-on but slow speed two car crash on #30, with no serious injuries.

Lakes Area Department was contacted about an unruly customer at the Clubhouse at Chisago Lakes Golf Course, about noon.  The suspect was also being accused of an assault that took place in the county, and the alleged incident would be a sheriff deputy investigation.  The sheriff’s department is following up.
