Joseph R. Wishy, age 81, of Lindstrom, formerly of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2016 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.  

Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Mathilda.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Carolyn; children, Kevin (Pat), Craig (Teri Jo), Kelly Coutier (Chris); grandchildren, Joe (Kellie), Ryan, Brianna, Forrest, Rosemarie, Brooke, Connor, Remington; great grandson, Owen; great granddaughter on the way; and brother Chuck (MJ).  Joe was a member of the Lindstrom City Council and proud member of the Vintage Thunderbird Club.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, October 7, 2016 at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church, 13060 Lake Blvd., Lindstrom.  Visitation 5-8 p.m., Thursday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  Visitation will continue 10-11 a.m., Friday at the Church.  Interment at Dawn Valley Memorial Park, Bloomington.  Online condolences may be made at www.mattson    funeralhome.com.
