Jonathan was born on February 6, 1973 in New York City, New York to parents Robert and Clara (Tilton) Neu. He married Anne Thompson Neu on October 18, 1997 in the Manti, Utah, LDS Temple. He received his Associates Degree in Nursing from Utah Valley State College and his Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Bethel University as well as his MBA from Bethel. Jonathan loved his work in the operating room as a nurse and manager. Jon loved the outdoors and his canoe trips to the Boundary Waters, cooking…and eating, teaching his daughters to dance, playing games with his kids, working with youth and serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Jon enjoyed playing basketball and golf and was an avid BYU Football fan. Jon lived for his family and loving and serving those around him.
Jonathan is survived by his wife, Anne Thompson Neu, children, Jacob (17), Jackson (15), Elizabeth “Bitsy” (13), Abigail (10) and Kathleen “Katie” (8). His parents, Clara (Tilton) and Robert Neu; his siblings, Robert (Noramah) Neu, Laurent (Kerrie) Neu, Gerard (Rachel) Neu, Emilie (Dustin) Harker, Jeffrey (Erika) Neu, Sharon (Benjamin) Young, his 16 nephews and nine nieces.
Funeral services were Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in North Branch with Bishop Michael Whiting and President Mark Call officiating. Serving as musicians were Elisabeth Pintar, Laura Michels, Carol Nolting, Laurent Neu and Kerri Neu. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. Family interment will take place in New Jersey at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Minnesota Chapter of the ALS Association.
