Lakes Area Police assisted North Branch in making an arrest and seizing an allegedly stolen vehicle, September 16.  The 47-year-old suspect was caught near where Hemingway and County Road 14 meet.

September 17 area law enforcement agencies participated in an active shooter drill at the Fairview Health campus in Wyoming.

September 14 a Lakes Area officer called for an assist from the county, for purposes of apprehending a potentially armed person in a residence on Nester Avenue in Lindstrom.  A crisis negotiation team helped talk the suspect out of his plans and he was taken in for observation.  This incident happened around 10 p.m.

Lakes Area dealt with a number of stray animals over the week.  A female yellow Lab, a black long-haired cat (Chisago City) and a black Lab, wearing a red collar but no tags, found on Hwy. 8 -- were taken to Northwoods Humane Society.
September 12 and 15, North Branch Police took reports of residential burglary at an address on Crestview DR and Hemingway Ave.
