Donald L. Zachrison, age 79 of North Branch, went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Don grew up in the St. Paul area and graduated from Mechanics Arts High School and the St. Paul Vocational School, Machine Department.  He was a six year veteran of the U.S. Navy Air Reserve.  Don retired after 31 years in the Machine Repair Department at Honeywell-Alliant Techsystems.  He served 21 years on the Planning Commission and City Council for the City of Branch.  He was also involved in Cub Scouts and served on the Church Council at Trinity Lutheran Church.  

Don is preceded in death by his parents Elwood and Victoria (Stream) Zachrison; stepmother Hazel (Herron) Zachrison and sister Judith Ann Peterson.  He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy; sons Darrin (Holly), Devin (Laura), daughters Christa (Tom) Callahan and Carla Zachrison; grandchildren Victoria, Brittany, Shianne, Jacob, Jennifer, Brandon, Jessica, Stephanie, Nicholas, Alec, Cody, Zak, Zoe and Nakita; great grandchildren Vanessa, Isaac, Jorden, Jaden, Caydun, Aspen, Logan and Hunter.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch with Rev. Jon Yurk officiating.   Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.  Interment will follow the service at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in North Branch with military honors provided by the North Branch American Legion and VFW Posts.
