DEA Take-Back Day April 29
Law Enforcement agencies are reminding readers of the drug take-back program. The proper way to dispose of medical products and prescription drugs is NOT to flush them;  but to use drug drop-offs at the sheriff’s offices at the county government center, lower level, and at North Branch Police Department at North Branch City Hall and at Rush City Hall.

The federal Drug Enforcement Agency is holding a “Take-Back Day” Saturday, April 29 to highlight the proper disposal program.

The abuse of prescription drugs can be reduced when waste medicines are harder to get a hold of, so clean-out your medicine cabinet of expired or surplus meds and dispose of the products properly.

The local law enforcement agencies make sure the waste medicines are incinerated at a sanctioned facility and that they don’t end up in a landfill polluting the environment with pharmaceutical materials/chemicals.

You can dispose of your animal/veterinarian prescribed medications and over-the-counter products along with personal waste  prescriptions at the local disposal sites. No sharps should be left.

Also April 8 there was a fight at a business a little after midnight and Lakes Area officers helped Wyoming Police with interviews and suspects on-site.  The incident was on 273rd.
