April 17 a theft from a Harris address, Stihl chainsaw and Black and Decker tools missing.
April 18 theft from a vehicle at Rush City Post Office. A Vikings jacket and other items were taken.
April 20 an alleged dog bite victim reported in Chisago City about 6 p.m. Victim was already on way for medical care. No further details.
April 20 a student at CLHS was cited for disorderly conduct after striking another student.
April 21 a dog (no description provided) collected as a stray in the North Meadow area of Lindstrom by Lakes Area Police, who took it to Northwoods Humane Society.
April 22 a burning complaint resulted in a deputy visit to a site on Reed Avenue in Shafer Township, where a man was warned for burning lumber, etc. You should only burn natural (organic) materials.
Frontier Communications equipment was damaged by a vehicle, that appeared to have been towed away from the scene by a tractor. The equipment hit was positioned at Redwing Avenue and 285th St. Unknown value of damage.
Falcon Ridge Golf Course had a cart damaged when a driver struck trees with the rented cart. Deputy had to get involved when renter refused to take care of costs.
April 22 a boat fire at Old Towne Rd. and Chisago Blvd. reported about 9 p.m. Extinguished with no injury.
April 23 Lakes Area Police were asked to give mutual aid to scene with suicidal male subject in Wyoming Police service area, armed. Call went out about 8 p.m. The man complied with directives from officers and was transported for evaluation.
Grass fire near Pioneer Road and Highway 8 reported about 7:30 p.m. No damage.
April 29 dispose of drugs safely
North Branch Police are participating in a Drug Takeback Day Saturday, April 29, in conjunction with the DEA.
There will be a receptacle inside the main door at North Branch City Hall for convenient drop-off of waste pharmaceuticals you wish to dispose of properly. Old prescription left-overs, surplus over the counter meds and even veterinary medications, can be left on the site.
Black-out your personal information if you want, but leave the drug identification information in tact so they know what they are dealing with.
There are also drug drop-off sites at the county Government Center on the lower level at the sheriff’s office, open during regular weekday hours and at Rush City Hall, also regular business hours.
