Authorities are investigating and have only preliminary details. Regions media staff could not be reached for an update on the patient condition.
Chisago County deputies assisted in establishing a landing zone when the incident was reported about 2:50 p.m. and they also helped medics with equipment that needed to be brought up the water slide hill. Taylors Falls First Responders and Lakes Region EMS were also on-hand.
It seems like almost every year a fire is ignited by cigarette butts that have been tamped out-- but re-ignite in dirt or sand. This year is no exception. A house fire started on a porch, in a can filled with dirt for cigarette butts, authorities say.
Rush City firefighters were dispatched about 3 a.m. to the address on Blueberry Trail, but a garden hose wielded by the homeowner may have done most of the extinguishing. Authorities remind readers, DO NOT put out cigarettes in soil in a flower pot or sand in a coffee can or anything similar, which can spontaneously re-ignite.
And, on July 29 Wyoming Police, with assistance from deputies in a successful K9 tracking effort; arrested a suspect who had allegedly been tampering with vehicles and possibly stealing fuel at a site near 250th and Galaxy Avenue. Original call came in about 1:30 a.m.
July 27 an overdose at an address in Stacy was abated through administering the heroin antidote Narcan. The call to the Stacy trailer court came in about 10 a.m.
For the week, a few calls complaining about ATV riders in the Shafer-Franconia Township area.
July 27 a small fire reported on railroad corridor near 530th Street and old Hwy. 61. Call came in about 5 p.m. Rush City firefighters were called to the scene.
July 25 CJ’s on Hwy 95, Palmdale, reported theft in excess of $1,000 from pulltabs receipts. It’s thought food service delivery people possibly left the door unlocked and when the complainant arrived later the next morning the loss from the pulltab boxes was discovered.
