A theft of a yellow Honda motorcycle reported from a Chisago City adress.
A location reported at Hwy 30 and Stacy Trail was the scene of a fight. When deputies arrived “multiple” people were involved. The parties were seperated and stories were inconsistent so no arrests were made, everyone sent home. Incident called in about 11 p.m.
Two weddings and an annual firearm event conflicted with each other in Lent Township on Fir Trail Aug 5. A complaint was lodged about 4 p.m. when the firearms noise disturbed the parties. Nobody was doing anything irresponsible or unsafe and authorities simply mediated a truce.
August 3 a vacant residence in Chisago City has been burgled and no details about missing items. Also Aug 3 a burglary in rural North Branch. The property gate lock was cut and numerous items are missing from a pole shed: two 250cc dirt bikes, a 50cc ATV, log splitter and tools. The ATV was located a short distance away.
August 2 a sheriff’s patrol squad encountered a small bear while southbound on I-35, about 10 a.m. The animal was killed on contact and the squad front passenger side bumper, wheel well, passenger door are damaged.
An ATV missing from a residence driveway on Quinton Avenue. Loss was discovered about 8 a.m. Key was in the machine.
Multiple mailboxes damaged south of Lindstrom in Chisago Lake Township (261st, 258th and Morgan Ave., also one on Maxwell)
August 1 a Lakes Area Community Service Officer took care of a complaint of a muskrat entrapped in an eress windowwell, at a Chisago City residence. Officer used a special tool to snare the animal and left him to a new life in a wooded area.
