Floyd was preceded in death by his parents William and Hilda and siblings Violet, Doris, Norman and Donald.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years and his daughters Kirsten and Robin, and brothers Clarence, Gary, Greg; sisters Hazel, Gladys, Shirley, Carol, Judy and many nieces and nephews.
Floyd loved the outdoors – fishing, hunting, tennis, and especially golf. He enjoyed many years of golfing and tennis at the Boulder Country Club. He served as the president of the PTA, member of his church board, and a member of the team that developed the first computers in Canada. He was awarded numerous patents over the course of his career. He was also president of the Mississauga Track and Field club. He was a runner and competed in many races – and won many of them. He has now crossed the finish line in his last race and is reaping the rewards of a life well lived. Godspeed.
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Lindstrom MN (30828 Irene Avenue, Lindstrom, MN) at 11 am December 22. Internment will take place at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
