North Branch Public Safety tested civil defense sirens on February 1; sounding the units in the downtown area about 1 p.m. followed by sirens west of the freeway and Hemingway-Harder siren units at 2 p.m.  West of the freeway the Falcon sirens also went off about 2 p.m.

Lakes Area Police were asked to keep an eye out for people dumping items at the Family Pathways store in Lindstrom.  Donations are accepted between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.  

February 5 a forced entry attempted burglary reported and the officer found signs of door damage when responding to an apartment on Lake Lane, Lindstrom.

February 5 sheriff’s personnel assisted at the scene of a two vehicle crash, called in at 4:30 p.m.  on the Osceola Road or #243. The state patrol is writing the report, early details are that the drivers were from White Bear Lake and Hastings and the collision was on the west side of the St Croix.  There was air transport to Regions Hospital.

February 4 a theft of a trailer reported from an address on Chisago Blvd.  Trailer is seven by 12 feet and is black mesh with drop gate.  Spare tire is mounted on front.
February 3 a student-on-student assault was reported at Chisago Lakes High School.

Dispatch sent a Lakes Area patrol squad to a report of a woman in labor at a home in Chisago City.  The baby was delivered by the time the officer arrived. Mother and child were transported to a metro hospital and reportedly are doing okay.

Several incidents of vehicles off the roadway, that were responded to by sheriff and police patrol, due to the travel conditions with the snowfall January 31.

January 30 an ambulance was dispatched to a county courtroom when the defendant attending his arraignment, learned he would not be released and would return to jail.  He suddenly became ill, went to the floor  and was not lucid. The bailiff summoned Center City First Responders, oxygen was administered and the man was taken to Wyoming Medical Center.  The incident was reported  about 15 minutes before noon.
